A Musical Pilgrimage Along the Camino de Santiago
With the premier professional choir of Baton Rouge
Red Shift presents Joby Talbot's Path of Miracles, the inaugural concert project of the 2017-2018 season. A multi-movement masterwork for 17-part advanced unaccompanied choir, Path of Miracles was composed in 2005 as a musical depiction of the mediaeval pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. Rarely performed because of its difficulty and extended length, the choir’s staged production will constitute the southeastern premiere of the work.
Dedicated to resonant, innovative storytelling, Red Shift is a professional choir of exceptional artists that offers audiences new perspectives of sound and meaning in our shared world.
